Power Utility AMI Unit (hereinafter, “PAU-233”) is for outdoor use, which is inserted inside the electronic watt hour meter of KEPCO standard; it transfers information to the server by both-way communication using AMI device and powerline installed in telegraph poles with transformers.

When the other PLC modem in home is used for internet and communication is difficult due to noise or signal decrease, this PLC modem with detachable watt hour meter for automatic metering is placed between AMI device and PLC modem installed in home to transfer communication signals.
